Payment by Zelle preferred using aarthi@makerhive.space (Choose "Pay in person" option at checkout if you are going to use Zelle) Come kick off Pride month by making your very own rainbow suncatcher! In this 3-hour class you’ll learn the basics of stained glass and then cut, grind, foil, and solder your very own piece to take home! A great way to learn some new skills like soldering while creating something beautiful. This is a small group class limited to four students per class. The $115 fee includes everything you need to make your piece plus funky mocktails, pastries, good tunes and good times! Instructor Bio: Lauren Barnas (she/her) of @warpedglassworks is a north New Jersey native and currently lives in Essex County. Lauren has experience in painting, ceramics, sculpture, scientific illustration and has dabbled in many other crafts over the years. However, none of the paths she followed felt genuine and fulfilling until she found stained glass. After stumbling onto a fellow glass artist's page, she immediately fell in love and dove right in, starting Warped Glassworks in 2021 and never looking back. Lauren uses her experience with color theory, sculpture, and illustration to create vibrant and dynamic glass pieces ranging from nature to pop culture and everything in between. She aims to shift people's idea of glass art from old church windows and the typical stained-glass window you find in your grandma's house, to a more modern and lighthearted conversation piece that they can cherish for years to come.
