Open Studio: Costume Edition

Description

Halloween is coming, and we're opening our doors for a special drop-in series! Bring the kids (and yourself!) to build pieces of your costume together, using cardboard, craft materials, hand-sewing, and hot glue — no sewing machines required. Come with your own project in progress, or use our supplies to start something new. We'll also have items from Rivertown Thrift (which raises money for the Hastings Food Pantry) available for purchase, in case you're looking for a few final pieces to complete your look. Oct 11 — Capes From superheroes to wizards to your own original creation. Oct 18 — Hand Props Swords, wands, shields, staffs — build the prop that completes your character. Oct 25 — Crowns & Hats Crowns, hats, helmets, and horns — top off your look with something one-of-a-kind. No experience necessary — just bring your creativity and an idea (or let us help you find one)! Please register in advance so we can plan accordingly — drop in and stay as long as you like once you're here. Payment: Zelle (914-319-9096) is preferred. Choose “Pay in person or Zelle” at checkout.
