Story Salon and the Maker Hive are back for two more Sunday morning workshops where young artists will master the art of surprise and dialogue. New to comics? Jump right in! Each workshop series stands on its own, so no experience needed. Workshop 1: Characters & Worlds - Sunday 1/25 and 2/1 Workshop 2: Twists & Talk - Sunday 3/8 and 3/15 Returning from previous sessions? You'll add new techniques to your growing toolkit, with more complex storytelling challenges. What We'll Do: Warm up with quick sketching exercises Learn how to add unexpected twists that make readers say "I didn't see that coming!" Practice the art of eavesdropping: great dialogue comes from listening to the world around you Turn real speech into story material Create your own 6-page zine from start to finish Share and swap your published work with fellow young artists

Cancellation Policy
Needs minimum of 4 students to run the workshop. We will get in touch within 24 hours before the workshop to let you know if it is cancelled due to lack of enrollment and will issue a full refund. Â You can cancel up to 14 days before the workshop. No refunds for any cancellations within 14 days of the workshop unless we are able to fill your spot or if we cancel the workshop due to low enrollment.
