Story Salon is partnering with our friends at the Maker Hive for two Sunday morning workshops where kids will create, illustrate, and publish their very own comics. Workshop 1: Characters & Worlds - Sunday 1/25 and 2/1 Workshop 2: Twists & Talk - Sunday 3/8 and 3/15 New to comics? Jump right in! Each workshop series stands on its own, so no experience needed. Returning from our fall sessions? You'll build on the skills you've already developed, going deeper into character and world-building. What We'll Do: Jump in with fun illustration warm-ups to get our creative energy flowing Design original characters and discover how they interact with each other Learn how opposites attract (and create great stories!) through character pairings Explore how setting shapes your story: the same character in different places tells different tales Master the 6-frame comic format and “story wave” structure Create finished comics using hands-on methods Share and swap your published work with fellow young artists

Cancellation Policy
Needs minimum of 4 students to run the workshop. We will get in touch within 24 hours before the workshop to let you know if it is cancelled due to lack of enrollment and will issue a full refund. You can cancel up to 14 days before the workshop. No refunds for any cancellations within 14 days of the workshop unless we are able to fill your spot or if we cancel the workshop due to low enrollment.
