There are two Sundays available to take this class: 11/3 and 12/8 In this class, participants will learn how to use a gelliplate to make prints without a press. You will be able to make prints on multiple surfaces using several techniques: collagraph printing, magazine transfers, and monotype techniques. Participants will observe the textures and marks they can make with the gelliplate and make depth and colorful prints on paper, fabric and wood. Participants will be provided with materials such as paint, repurposed/recycled materials, gelliplates, and paper. However, you are welcome to bring your own materials to create prints. If you bring your own materials, please make sure that your objects are soft (no sharp edges) and have great texture! Some ideas include bubblewrap, aluminum foil, a pair of jeans, yarn, and lace.
