Small Group (5 participants) 10 sessions: No sessions on 10/31, 11/28 and 12/5 Who should take this class: Young makers in 1st grade through 3rd grade who thrive with extra time, individualized attention, and a smaller group setting. Designed for neurodivergent learners and children who benefit from sensory-friendly, individualized instruction. What you will learn: Perfect for learners who benefit from a more personalized approach! In our supportive small group environment, students explore the same exciting cardboard engineering and basic computer skills at their own pace. With extra time and individualized guidance, every child discovers their unique maker strengths while building confidence and skills. Hands-On Building: Students master fundamental making skills through cardboard projects - measuring, cutting, and joining techniques. Each child works at their own pace with plenty of support, celebrating every achievement along the way. Computer Discovery: Alongside building projects, students explore basic computer skills including introductory CAD design using Tinkercad. Learn mouse control, basic keyboard and typing skills, simple 3D design concepts, and how to recreate their cardboard creations digitally, building the bridge between hands-on making and digital design. Seasonal Projects: Create the same engaging projects as our regular Cardboard Engineering class - houses, robots, moving vehicles, and arcade games - with extra time for exploration, adaptation, and personal expression. Skills practiced: • Self-paced learning • Basic computer navigation • Fine motor development • Following visual instructions • Creative expression • Building confidence • Individual problem-solving strategies Class size: Limited to 5 students for maximum individual attention and support. Cancellation Policy
- You can cancel up to one week before the start of a class for a 50% refund. - No refunds if cancelled within a week of the first class (except in case of a trial first class or if we fill your spot). - Pro-rated fees available if you sign up for a class mid-way. - Classes can be cancelled due to low enrollment. - If a class is cancelled due to low enrollment, all fees will be refunded.
